Looks great, works as advertised, some things to be aware of though
Since I was already purchasing the Whispbar Flush Mount Roof Rack, I also purchased the WB400 J Cradle Kayak Carrier to maintain the same look. The cradle has no problems securing the kayak with the appropriate straps and tie-downs. Ironically the padding makes it a little more difficult to push the kayak upright once in the cradles.
Some things to be aware of. Without a kayak and the cradle in the closed position, there is a tendency for the cradle to lift and open at higher speeds (>65mph). There isn't a click mechanism to secure the cradle arm down. Also, when locked with the SKS key, the lever furthest from the lock isn't locked, but the closest lever is, though there is some give with even the closest lever.
Overall, a good price for a kayak cradle to keep the overall Whispbar look. The price is lower than the Yakima JayLow and Bowdown cradles that also fold down when not used.
